Jula. I u buduće pratite najnovije vesti i informacije o našem putu za Turku.

Last weekend, from 21st until 23rd of April, Serbian National Box Lacrosse Team participated at E-Box 2017 camp/tournament as part of preparations and selection process for European Box Lacrosse Championships. This training camp took place in Radotin, in beautiful historical city of Prague in Czech Republic and it consisted of three days of practices and friendly matches with other national teams (and one club team from Czech Republic).

Our boys were led by coach Stu Sterparn who made the trip from Canada to Prague and who was joined by Brian Gorodetsky. We also had our Canadian friends Marco and Jeremy Hill helping us with their experience to increase the learning curve for our players – for some of our players these were the first official Box Lacrosse matches.

On the first day, we lost against the host – Czech Republic, then on the second day we tested some new systems against experienced Austrian National team in a match in which the Austrian team prevailed. Third day was reserved for a match against Old Dogs Plzen Lacrosse Club – a Box Lacrosse team coming from Plzen in Czech Republic and this match was highly contested and a thriller up until the last minute in which the team from Plzen won the showdown.

Our players had a perfect opportunity to learn and improve and they wholeheartedly took that chance, making large strides in improving Box Lacrosse IQ, awareness, teamwork, tactics and discipline.

We are looking forward to July 2017, when our National Team will travel to Turku, Finland to represent Serbia at first European Box Lacrosse Championships that will take place from July 8th until July 16th. Follow us for future updates and news on our Road to Turku.
